Living on the West Coast, I've had the opportunity to meet people from an extraordinary variety of spiritual backgrounds. Some attend churches, others meditate in Zen centres, some practice yoga, and others identify as Pagan or Wiccan.
One of the most beautiful discoveries my partner and I have made over the years is that intimacy isn't something that simply happens. It's something we intentionally create. Like tending a garden, a relationship flourishes when we regularly give it our attention, patience, curiosity, and care.

Living here in San Diego, where the ocean has a way of reminding you to slow down and pay attention, I've come to appreciate the quiet power of daily rituals.
